Winding Through Hayes Valley

Or rather, wine-ding through Hayes Valley. A simple Wednesday afternoon of playing blog catchup with a couple of friends in my newly scored Dear Creatures top. I paired it with my crocheted vest as it was the night before Outside Lands and I love the festie twist it gave it. You must, undoubtably, don your funnest pieces for outings with friends as trendy as Jessica + Aimee. The following is my rendition of 'Glee'..We gathered from our respective corners of the city to meet in Hayes Valley. The ever-growing hodgepodge of a neighborhood is a magnet for top-notch eateries and cozy corner boutiques, as well as the scene of the birthday crime. We stopped in to greet at a new hole in the wall wine bar, called Birba. Fueled with girl chat and libations, we took to the fresh air for the sake of creativity. Three bloggers, two cameras, one perfectly serendipitous night.

We twisted around the neighborhood, creating - one version of which you see here. After long lines at the trendiest restos, and loud music in dark bars, we stumbled upon the quaintest little café with outdoor seating. Our server turned the wine tasting into a game, testing which wines we said we like vs. which wines we actually chose. It made the atmosphere more personable and we laughed as we watched the sun set all around us. When the wind picked up, we cozied up into an indoor booth and decided this place was a hidden gem. And that was that.
