An Afternoon in Clapton
It was a day for bare shoulders and exploring. With the sun being uncharacteristically boastful, all of London was out and the patios were ready. We ventured to a new-to-us part of London and discovered what they meant by there's always something new to discover here. The lesser known Clapton in the borough of Hackney showed us a locals-only charm with a side of hip. Here, let me show you..
Clapton is an edgier part of town with pockets of overly hip typography and chair combinations. The gentrification is evident. It was Sunday and thus, their market was in full swing all along Chatsworth Road. We wandered the streets and through Clapton Park, where sunbathers and futball players occupied the marjority of the lawn. We strolled down the canal, always choosing to walk through the grass as my inner hippie always tends to show its colors under the warmth of the sun.
We grabbed crêpes at Creperie du Mond as we watched the bustle of this central corner evolve. Grab a table outside if available as it's a prime viewing corner.
Leave your Clapton recs in the comments so we can have an excuse to return!
